The Lytchetts and Upton Benefice  Lent Course:
'
Saying Yes to Life' for Lent

This year we invite you to join us in Lent and Say Yes to Life! We will be using the Archbishop of Canterbury’s 2020 Lent Book, Saying Yes to Life, written by Ruth Valerio.
The starting point is Genesis chapter 1 and what follows is a Biblical Reflection and a Contemporary Application of the truths we find.

A description from the back cover says ‘Foundational to Saying Yes to life is what it means to be human and, in particular, to be a follower of Jesus. Voices from around the world are heard throughout, and each chapter ends with discussion and a prayer to aid action and contemplation.’

Front cover of the Lent Book 2020 by Ruth Valerio titled Saying Yes to LifeCopies of the book will be available in our churches for £6.50 or you can purchase your own.

Each session will involve an input about an aspect of the book, a time to discuss and to pray into the issues raised. At each session we hope to bring an online interview linked to the topic, recorded from around the world specially for those studying the book. Recognizing that we have different learning styles and different personalities, each week we will have the choice of doing either private reflection or being part of a small group discussion.
